About the Scheme
What is Subhadra Yojana?
The Subhadra Yojana is a welfare scheme launched by the Government of Odisha on September 17, 2024 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It provides eligible women with Rs.50,000 over five years paid as Rs.5,000 twice a year directly into their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer. No middlemen, no delays.
As of March 2026, over 1.12 crore women across all 30 districts of Odisha have received four successful installments. The 4th installment of Rs.5,106 crore was released on International Women's Day, March 8, 2026.
Each beneficiary also receives a Subhadra Debit Card for digital transactions. Women who complete 100 or more digital transactions per year receive an additional Rs.500 incentive.
